Behind the camera, Vince has continued to grow as a director and filmmaker, taking on independent productions such as the science fiction film The Stillness Below and the supernatural horror film The Case of Hannah Bell. His work is shaped by a strong interest in visual storytelling, atmosphere, practical filmmaking, and the kind of genre stories that can stay with an audience after the credits roll.

Like many independent filmmakers, Vince has learned by doing. In addition to directing, he has stepped into a number of creative roles across his productions, including writing, cinematography, editing, makeup, costume design, producing, and acting. Working across so many areas has given him a deeper appreciation for the people and details that bring a film together, from a performance on set to the final choices made in the edit.

That same perspective carries into his acting. Vince has appeared in a variety of independent projects, including a lead performance in The Static Theory of Time (M&M Productions) and Where the Light Won’t Touch (FrostFire Cinematics). His credits also include I Love You (Anything Help$ Productions), Rewind (Greydog Films), Inspectors Anonymous (NKZ Films), The Indecision (NKZ Films), and The Last Watch (Malevolent Mouse Productions). He also recently worked as a background actor on Rob Lowe’s upcoming film My New Friend Jim.

For Vince, acting and directing are closely connected. Being in front of the camera has helped him better understand what actors need from a director, while his experience behind the camera has made him more aware of how performance, cinematography, sound, editing, and production design all contribute to a finished scene.

Through FrostFire Cinematics, Vince continues to develop original independent films while collaborating with actors, crew members, and other filmmakers in the local and independent film community. He approaches each project as an opportunity to learn, improve, and build something meaningful with the people around him.

Vince is still early in a journey he hopes will be a long one. Rather than chasing a particular title or image, his focus is on becoming a better filmmaker with each production, supporting the people he works with, and creating stories that feel cinematic, personal, and worth sharing.

Maya earned her degree in acting at UNR, starring in seven plays and five short films during her four years in the theater department. She is also an accomplished visual artist and writer.
